Jasper Lamont Johnson, Jr. was born May 11, 1984, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Jasper Lamont Johnson, Sr. and Monalisa Yvette Sanders. On Friday, June 5, 2026, Jasper answered his Master’s call and entered into eternal rest.
From an early age, he was blessed with a strong faith and a loving family foundation that would guide him throughout his life. At the age of 12, Jasper answered God’s call to ministry under the leadership of Pastor W. M. Reed at St. John College Heights Baptist Church. His relationship with the Lord remained at the center of his life, providing strength, purpose, and direction through every season.
Jasper attended Lanier High School, where he excelled in Auto Mechanics and Technology, graduating in 2002. Hardworking and determined, he continued to pursue opportunities for growth and success, earning his Real Estate License and General Contractor’s License through Huston-Tillotson University and later obtaining certification in HVAC.
One of Jasper’s greatest joys was his family. He met and married Sharita Williams, and together they were blessed with four beautiful children. He loved his children deeply and treasured every opportunity to support, encourage, and provide for them.
Jasper leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, perseverance, and cherished memories. While his departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, they find comfort in knowing that his faith has become sight and that he now rests in the presence of the Lord.
Jasper was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Johnson; his maternal grandparents, Zadie Mae Wheeler and Norris Ray Tollerson; his paternal grandfather, Lemuel Burks; his great-aunt, Dorothy Loud; his uncle, Dennis Leroy Webb; his niece, Ivory Lanelle Levine Willis; his cousin, LaCrecia Shena Hill; and his stepfather, Thearthur Sanders, Jr.
