

Jay Darrell Pearson, 76, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2007. Jay was born on October 24, 1930 to Gladys and Burwood Pearson. He attended Waco schools, Texas A&M University, and received a Bachelors Degree from Baylor University, but remained an Aggie at heart. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, and served in the Korean War. He married Dorothy Marie White in May 1959; she preceded him in death, in November 1966. He and his two daughters, moved to Austin, where he worked for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept. for 30 years. He married Anne Elliott Bedillion in March of 1968, who also had two children. He is survived by, his wife, Anne, his children, Pam and Patricia (Patty) Pearson, Teri Bedillion Chang-Tung, and Dr. Mark Bedillion, all of his grandchildren, Christofer and Joshua Eckert, Elliot and Evan Chang-Tung, and Luke, Caroline, and Billy Bedillion, and his loving and devoted dog Pepe, along with the many friends he made throughout his life. He was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church for more than 30 years. A special thank you to all his Doctors and Nurses, and his friends and neighbors at Heritage Plaza Apts. for their loving care over these past several years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 12, 2007 in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with Rev. Charles Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco.
