Born and raised in Newton, New Hampshire, she made her home in Austin, Texas. She devoted her life to teaching and working with children. One of her passions was enriching their minds. But her greatest love was teaching them to read. She loved the color yellow, country western music and dancing, cooking and family gatherings. Her wish was to continue her legacy of teaching children to read.
