Jeanette Elsie Payne

Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend has passed peacefully to her final resting place on Sunday, July 15, 2007. She was born Jeanette Gallway on February 13, 1930 in Galveston, Texas. She is survived her daughters Karen Payne and her husband David Hawkins, Anne Jenkins and her husband Audie, and Jeanette Payne; sons Kerry Payne and his partner Jane Swartz, Hal Payne, and Kirk Payne and his wife Anne Wispler; grandchildren Haley Jenkins and Marie Wispler Payne; sister Yvonne Fansler, and brother Arnold Gallway. Over the last 20 years, Jeanette worked for Grey Panthers of Austin and the Infant-Parent Care Program of Travis County. Her contributions were invaluable to the community. You couldn’t help loving Mom from the moment you met her. She made lasting impressions on even the most casual of acquaintances. We would like to express our gratitude to Heartland Health Care Center and Hospice Austin for their love, care and support.
