

Jeanne Yvonne Benson, 80, of Manor, Texas, formerly of Larchmont, NY passed away on March 9, 2007. Born in NY to Howard and Dorothy Field, Jeanne attended college at Syracuse University and Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She worked as an interior decorator with Londons Fabrics during the 70s. Over the course of her life she traveled with her husband to numerous countries and amassed an impressive insight into cultures incredibly different from her own. She was a brilliant conversationalist who loved to talk and debate about religion, art, literature, and history. Her strength of character and immense love for her family and friends was an inspiration to those that knew her. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Roland Benson, formerly of Harrison, NY. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Isberg and husband John of Charleston, SC; daughters Linda Benson and Pamela Parscal and husband Edward; grandchildren Erika Jeanne and Ryan Hagler, Heather Deering, Linnea and Robert Martin and great-grandson Bryce Deering; niece Anita Muniz and great-nephews Lee, Erik, David, and Michael Muniz, all of Texas; nephew John Isberg of SC; sister-in-law Lillian Jones and husband Bill of OH and niece Deborah Konkos of CT; best friend Dorothy Gildon and a multitude of friends literally all over the world. The family thanks the nurses and physicians at the Heart Hospital of Austin for their incredible compassion and support during this difficult time, as well as a very special thanks to Dorothy Gildon for her loving care, and friendship.
