

Jeanne M. Terrill Miller Jeanne M. Terrill Miller, 76, was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to Elwin B. and Ada Webler Terrill on July 25, 1929. She passed away peacefully on May 9, 2005. After moving to Orange, Texas in her early teens, Miss Terrill attended and graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in 1947. After graduation, she attended Texas State College for Women, now Texas Womens University, and received her Bachelor of Science in Painting from the Fine Arts Department in 1951. On June 11, 1951, Miss Terrill married Lieutenant J. Neal Miller, Jr., a pilot in the United States Air Force. They subsequently had three children. Mrs. Millers career includes being a schoolteacher, a college instructor, owner and operator of both a school of art and gallery of art. Mrs. Miller was an accomplished artist and photographer acquiring many awards and recognitions throughout her lifetime. She was named one of the celebrated Centennial Artists for the Texas State Capitals 100th Anniversary. Educated in both archeology and art history, Mrs. Miller traveled through many different countries to study the past through art and architecture. Through her slideshows and lectures, she continued to educate others with her unique vision. She was a member of a local Womens Book Club, Investment Group, English Speaking Union, and held positions in the Austin Art League as well as many other community service organizations. She will be remembered for her creative social events, culinary skills and interior design as well as her extreme dedication to her family and friends. She had a goal of doing something special for someone every day. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Neal, and her children, Mollie and Neal Puckett, Wanda and Joseph (Rusty) Neal Miller, III, and Rebecca and Henry (Hank) Hlavinka, Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rebecca Miller, Mollie Miller, Henry (Hal) Hlavinka, III, Lindsay Hlavinka, and Adam Puckett. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Friends of the Texas State Cemetery, 909 Navasota St., Austin, TX 78702, in memory of Jeanne T. Miller.
