Jeffrey Allen Flanary, 54, of Austin, TX passed away April 1, 2019. Jeff was an avid sailor and enjoyed spending as much time as possible on the water. He was an amazing craftsman and in the words of his granddaughter Mackenzie, “Paw Paw could fix anything”. He built everything from spectacular boats to houses from the ground up. Jeff enjoyed rescuing treasures of the past and restoring them to their greatest potential. Of all of the many talents and interests he had the one thing he was the most passionate about by far was his wife of nearly 26 years, Linda.

He will be dearly missed by many. Jeff is preceded in death by his Father, Andrew Jackson Flanary Sr.; Grandfather, Willie Flanary; Brother, Calvin Edward Flanary; Mother, Celia Martin Kelly; Fraternal Grandmother, Draxie Osborne Flanary; Maternal Grandfather, Hassell Martin; Maternal Grandmother, Viola Hall Martin Scott.

He is Survived by his Wife, Linda Gibson of Austin, TX; Step-son, Brian Gibson (Austin, TX); Step-daughter, Stephanie Gibson (Austin, TX); Son, Jeffrey Flanary (Wauseon, OH); daughter, Jessica Flanary (Wauseon, OH); Grand-daughters, Mackenzie Daniels (Austin, TX) and Lily Rain (Wauseon, OH); grand-son, Lukas Gibson (Austin, TX); brothers, Andrew Jackson Flanary of (Maine) and Scott Flanary (Knoxville, TN); sisters Cristall (Flanary) Mount (Knoxville, TN) and Carmera Kelly (Blaine, TN). As well as a Maternal Step-Grandfather, Carl Scott, (Ohio).

I rode with Jeff out to Big Bend over Memorial Day of 2008. Fun guy, seemed to live life to the fullest. The pic is of our bikes, between Sanderson and Marathon, as we pulled over to take a few pics of the sunrise. RIP, Jeff.
