

After moving to Austin in 1976, he graduated from Anderson High School in 1978. Jeff was a long-time employee of the State of Texas (TXDOT). He was a fan of the outdoors and, in particular, liked to swim and spend time on Lake Travis. Most of all, Jeff enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, John.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Jeanne McCoy of Austin; four brothers and their wives, Michael and Agnes of Round Rock, Kevin and Carol of Houston, Joseph and Melanie of Flower Mound and John and Kathryn of Round Rock; three nieces, three nephews, his uncle and aunt, Maurice and Betty VanSpeybroeck of Moline, IL as well as several cousins and their families.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at half past one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 23rd of March 2013, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas.
The McCoy family would like to thank the staff of Retirement and Nursing Center and Hospice Austin for all of the love and care given to Jeffrey and his family during this difficult time.
