Jeffrey Harris Rogers, 67, passed away in Austin, Texas on April 29, 2021 after a courageous battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.

Jeff was born on October 9, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas. He moved to Houston in first grade and graduated from Memorial High School where he made lifelong friends. He then moved to Austin and graduated from the University of Texas and remained in Austin ever since.

Before retiring from his position as Managing Director of Multifamily Capital Markets for Transwestern, Jeff enjoyed a successful 40-year career in commercial real estate specializing in multifamily sales in Austin achieving many awards along the way. His long-time business partner and dear friend, Chris Stutzman, worked closely with Jeff throughout his career and together they made an exceptional team.

Jeff was a strong man with a gentle heart and fantastic sense of humor. He was a Texas culture aficionado who loved music, art, West Texas and COLD beer; a laid back Austinite who frequented Matt’s El Rancho, Shady Grove and truly loved his city; a competitive tennis player; a ranch enthusiast who enjoyed weekend getaways to Marfa, Texas as well as the Gage Hotel and White Buffalo Bar in Marathon, hunting dove and quail with his brother, and of course spending time at the “Rogers Ranch”. Most essentially, he was a consistently devoted and loving husband, father, son and brother.

Jeff is loved by many and will be deeply missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Carolyn Brice Rogers; his son, Jeffrey Harris Rogers, Jr. and wife, Kathryn; grandchildren, Ben and Knox Rogers; mother, Jean C. Rogers; brother, Richard W. Rogers, III and wife, Margaret; brother, Dr. Tony Rogers and husband, Blair Davis; brother-in-law, Frank Sayre; sister-in-law Claudia Wilkinson and husband, Joe; brother-in-law Stephen Brice and wife, Eloise; brother-in-law, Robins Brice and wife, Leslie Davidson, as well as 3 nieces and 12 nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Carolyn Jean Rogers, and father, Richard William Rogers, Jr.

Memorial donations can be made in his memory to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3003 Northland Dr., Austin, TX 78757.

There is a celebration of Jeff’s life being planned for the near future.
