Jennifer Bliss Harris

Jennifer Bliss Harris passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, surrounded by her family while in private hospice care in Dripping Springs, TX. She courageously battled cancer with remarkable strength, grace and spirit. Throughout her journey, Jennifer was surrounded by a wonderful network of friends who have returned the love, kindness and friendship she so generously gave to so many.

Jennifer was a sixth-generation Texan born in Dallas on February 24, 1983. She grew up in Plano, later moved to Katy where she graduated from Taylor High School in 2001. She went on to graduate from Texas State University in 2005. Jennifer married the love of her life, Charlie, on June 20, 2009, in Austin and have made their home in Driftwood since 2019.

Jennifer built a successful and rewarding career in pharmaceutical and medical device sales. She worked most recently in the cardiology specialty throughout the greater Central Texas area supporting doctors in the use of new life saving devices. She was recognized for her many achievements and was deeply respected by her peers and those she mentored for her professionalism, dedication and integrity.

Jennifer took great joy in watching her son’s baseball games- so much so that she came to truly understand and appreciate the game! She loved spending time outdoors at the Harris family ranch with Charlie, Holder, and Preston. The family enjoyed quality time hiking and on the lake with water sports and boating. Nothing meant more to her than her time with Charlie and her boys.

Jennifer is survived by her loving husband Charles Joseph Harris and their sons Holder Shreve Harris and Preston Charles Harris of Driftwood, TX; her parents Allen Shreve Butcher and Diane Moore Butcher of Canyon Lake, TX; her brother, Ryan Erichson Butcher, his wife, Julia Mims Butcher, and nieces Hadley Jane Butcher, and Caroline Bliss Butcher of Corpus Christi; and her maternal grandmother Dorothy Gersteman Moore of Houston. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Vernon Eugene Moore, and her paternal grandparents, Harold Shreve Butcher and Janet Bliss Butcher. Jennifer has many aunts, uncles, and cousins who hold a special love for her.

The family is especially grateful to Jennifer’s dedicated and loving friends Natalie Gard and Carolina Moody Bear, her childhood friends, for the extraordinary love, care and time they gave her throughout her battle.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin TX 78749.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Pecan Springs Ranch, 10601 B Derecho Dr, Austin, TX 78737, followed by a Graveside Service at 2pm at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park, 6300 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin TX 78749

As a true celebration of Jennifer’s life and legacy please wear bright colors. Texas tuxedo attire is acceptable.
