Jennifer Elizabeth Walley, mother, daughter, granddaughter, professional and friend to so many, died tragically on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the young age of 34.
Jennifer pursued all of her roles with passion and energy that few, if any, could match. Those who tried to keep up would find themselves exhausted and "just needing to lie down for a while". It's as if she knew she only had 34 years, so she packed about 105 years' worth of living into those 34.
In her early years, Jennifer, was a blur of motion. Her time from the top of the staircase to the bottom was measured in the sub 2 second range. Her energy, passion and vocal chords led her to what else? Cheerleading. Top of the pyramid. Her backflips were only limited by the length of the court.
She pursued many career paths, but her love of people and talking, led her to a career in none other than Marketing
She excelled in all areas of life, but her dearest passion, unconditional love and her life's fulfillment could be seen when she was with her child, Harrison Parker Dickson.
Jennifer knew how to celebrate. Her birthdays were not just birthdays ...they stretched to birthday weeks and birthday months. So this is not a single memorial day…this is Jenn Walley's memorial week, month and year.
She had a lifelong love affair with life. In that, she leaves a legacy of persons that were touched and infected with her enthusiasm. She is survived by her son, Harrison Parker Dickson; father, Richard Walley; mother and step-father, Debra and Jim Reineke; sister and brother-in-law, Cristen and Michael McGlothren; sister, Caroline Reineke; grandparents, Edith Walley, Mr. and Mrs. M.T. Byrd; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends from all walks of life.
A Celebration of Jennifer's Life will be held for friends and family on Wednesday, October 14, at a private residence, in Austin, Texas from 6-8 p.m.
"We can't know why the lily has so brief a time to bloom in the warmth of sunlight's kiss upon its face before it folds into its fragrance and bids the world good night to rest its beauty in a gentler place. But we can know that nothing that is loved is ever lost and no one who has touched a heart can really pass away because some beauty lingers on in each memory of which they've been a part." – By Ellen Brenneman
