He was born October 12, 1966, the youngest of 6 children, to Paul and Susie Serrano. Jesse was handicapped, mentally challenged, and unable to walk, but he was never a burden, in fact, a true blessing for our family.
After the death of our Mom and Dad, Tina moved Jesse into her home and took over his 24 hour care. As Jesse’s primary care-giver, Tina watched carefully over him until his passing. Richard Chalambaga helped in his care-giving and was instrumental in providing a special atmosphere for him, becoming like a brother to him. Together, the two of them gave excellent care, fostering love and attention for his every need. They all lived happily on “Cleo’s Corner”, the home of Tina’s husband, John Cobb.
He loved gatherings of family and friends, loud music (of the Tejano variety), the out-of-doors and his daily walk, and especially the beach & the wind. Jess’s passing has left a void in our hearts that will be hard to fill. He was loved by family members and many friends. We are going to miss his extraordinary smiles, great hugs, and gentle kisses.
Jesse was preceded in death by our Mom, Dad, and our brother, Paul.
He is lovingly survived by his older sister, Josie Lopez (Joseph), Danny Serrano (Liz), Tina Cobb (John), and Gloria Serrano (Dominique), and many nieces and nephews.
