Jessie Lee Sikes

Jessie Lee Sikes, 96, affectionately known as Grannie, of Austin, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013. Jessie was born to parents Joe and Anita Hudman on November 27, 1916 in Shackelford County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Sikes, daughter Glenna, her parents, and seven brothers and sisters. Grannie is survived by her son Harry Joe Sikes, wife Darlene, of Breckenridge, TX, and daughter Vita, husband Sonny Sharpe of Austin. She has five grandchildren, Kent Sharpe and wife Jackie of Round Rock, Pamela Johnson and husband Bob, of Phoenix, AZ, Connie Bernard and husband David of Austin, Tiffany Harmon and husband Terry of Corinth, MS, and Tammy Raciborski and husband Nathan of Jackson, WY. She had 14 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday evening, January 28, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-¬Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Weed¬-Corley-Fish with Pastor Rodney Shaw, Rev. David K. Bernard, and Rev. Terry Harmon officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
