Joanna Louise Parsons

For the majority of her working career, she worked in the semiconductor field in manufacturing where she made meaningful and lasting friendships. She retired from NXP (formerly Freescale Semiconductor, formerly Motorola) in July 2016.

She had many hobbies over the years including painting stained glass, ceramics, sewing, and was most recently actively involved in quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Batista and Josephine Marie Griffanti, and husband, Kenneth Lee Parsons.

She is survived by her children Maria C. Remington and husband, David of Round Rock, Deanna L. Parker of Leander, Kendale L. Watson, and husband, Larry of Kerrville; siblings, Maria J. McBride of Arnold Missouri, Angela M. Drees of Arnold Missouri, John J. Griffanti and wife, Erica of Louisville Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Colton R. Remington, Brandon W. Remington, both of Round Rock, Graeson R., Landri J, Harli K., and Kaden J. Green all of Kerrville, and Declan G. Parker of Leander; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Christopher House for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749 on September 24, 2022. Visitation with the family will begin from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
