Joe was one of the sweetest guys anyone could know. He was such a great brother in law. Always smiling and happy, with an infectious personality. I will sure miss my birthday calls and just calling to see what's up Sis calls. I miss him so much and will always have a special place in my heart for him, as I know everyone who ever meet him does. May you Rest In Peace, until we meet again. I love you.

My Brother Joe, I had a great childhood because Joe was there to make sure I was safe and having fun.  Joe was the oldest and always watched over me, my brother Eddie, and all cousins that happened to visit.  

Joe was a great athlete, the fastest runner in school, the fastest in Junior Olympics, and when he was 12, in 1968, he won the Punt/Pass/and Kick contest and competed in the state PPK in the Astrodome.  As a teenager, he was quarterback for the Baby Longhorns and led them to 3 national championships, one in Philadelphia at Franklin Field against the Baby Eagles, two in Memorial Stadium (UT) against Canada, which was on the local TV, and third in the Astrodome against the Baby Eagles, being the first non-professional or non-collegiate team to play there.  When Joe played baseball, he was known for stealing the most bases or he would simply outrun the ball to first because of his speed.

Joe loved taking pictures.  In high school, he was on the yearbook staff and took photography, back in the day when you developed film in a darkroom.  I can remember him converting our old kitchen after the addition to our house, and made a darkroom.  

Joe loved his family and did anything needed even if it wasn't fun.  He was always there to help in any way possible, even if it meant that he would be without.  When I moved to New Orleans, it didn't stop, Joe was there for B-Days and special occasions.  He loved all the kids and gave them all that he had.  Everyone was happy to see Uncle Joe. 

Joe loved his music, he loved to laugh, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, and family gatherings.

My brother Joe always checked in on me to see if I was ok or if I needed something, I've been in New Orleans for 30 years, he NEVER missed my B-Day, ALWAYS called and sang Happy B-Day to me. I'm glad I have last years on my phone.  

I miss YOU! I love you Joe!

My heart breaks a little every time I look down the long hall to Building B. I expect to see Joe greeting patients and families and returning my big wave from the hospital side.
I still have his phone number in my cell phone. I'm sure he would go "Uh oh" when he saw my number pop up. It was usually about Spa Day... Joe! Where are the lights for the lobby located - it's dark in here!, Joe the A/C just conked out and I have 500 ladies about to show up!! He was always so sweet and never seemed upset.
I texted his phone when I found out about his passing just to tell him how much I missed him. 
I am going to miss that big smile, big wave and big heart.
RIP Joe!

Texas Orthopedics Physical Therapy, Suite 109 will miss you so much. Building B will never be the same without you and your contagious smile. It was a privilege to call you friend.

Joe was one of the nicest man you could meet. He would always open the door for you and ask you how your day was and if anything was needed in the building. RIP Joe, you will be missed!

I am with Cedar Park Surgeons and all of us adored Joe. I will miss hearing his friendly positive voice ring through our hallways as he greeted everyone. I will especially miss his hearty laughter and our good conversations. He always had a lot of good ideas. I believe he really loved and enjoyed what he did everyday and it brought him great joy to help others. I and our office will miss him so much. My sincere condolences to Joe's mom and dad, you had the kindest son, and to his family and friends.

I would see Joe twice a day, the first time I would be delivering supplies to the Cedar Park Med plaza, and without exception the door would magically open when I got 10 feet from the door. EVERY time Joe would be standing there having just pressed the door button. In the afternoon I would see Joe and we would talk about the latest news on the Cowboys and Longhorns and how they were going to do. I will miss our daily talks, and boy could Joe talk. I will think of you every time I have to open the door myself and see someone in the lobby looking at the directory because you were always there to help them get them where they needed to be.

The entire North Austin Pediatrics staff will miss your smiling face and your daily visits, the building will not be the same without you! Thoughts and prayers to your family, Joe was such a special person!

My cousin Joe was a good man ready to help at moment's notice , his ability to be both stern and compassionate is a rare combination for any man we were all blessed to have witnessed this and will cherish his kindness. Those long ago Summer nights spent with Eddie, Rudy and Joe will always stay with me till the end of time . Rest in peace cousin, Grandma Garza is waiting to hug you.

Joe always greeted you, morning, noon or afternoons with a smile and humorous comment.  Joe I will miss our morning coffee and comments/suggestions to fix all things wrong in the world. LOL. No one will ever be able to take your place and do the things you did, without complaint.  You will be missed, god bless you and your family. PP

I saw Joe almost everyday at  work. He was always in a good mood and willing to help others. We would get to talking about family sometimes and he would just beam talking about his kids and grand-kids. He loved them so. I'm really going to miss our chats and his smiling face. Sending prayers to his family during this difficult time. Heaven got one amazing angel this week.

I work at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center and will greatly miss seeing Joe's smiling face in the hall. He was always so upbeat and in the best of moods. He was all too quick to ask how my day was or hold the door or elevator door for me. It absolutely made my day that he was never to busy to say a quick hello. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the absolute pleasure of encountering him.

Joe and I have worked together for several years at the Cedar Park Medical Office Building.  It was my honor to know and work beside Joe.  He made me smile every time I saw him.  He was loved by all the tenants and patients in the building. He was a big part of our family and will be greatly missed by all of us.  My heart goes out to you and your family.
