He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Webster Marsalis and Irene Bennett Marsalis; brother, Dan Jr.; sister, Billie; grandson, Kyle.
Joel is survived by his wife, Laura Ann Marsalis; daughters, Diane Broadhurst, Charlene Breth and husband Christopher; granddaughters, Jordan Broadhurst, Anastacia Breth; sisters, Dorothy Jefferson and husband Jimmy, Claudine Shofner and husband Harley, Frances Weise.
Memorial Service 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel.
