

Our beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle and nephew, John Anthony Gaytan Ramirez, “Ant”, of Kyle, Texas, passed away at the young age of 20 on February 22, 2026. Born on March 16, 2005, in Austin, Texas, John Anthony was a vibrant soul whose energy and enthusiasm for life left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A proud graduate of Hays High School, Ant embraced life with boundless excitement and joy. He loved spending time with his sister, brother-in-law, nana, aunts and uncles listening to music, rapping and dancing. He enjoyed being outdoors and found peace and happiness in nature. Whether swimming at Barton Springs, walking or running daily, or working out with his uncle Joe, Ant’s active lifestyle reflected his passion for life and his dedication to staying connected with the world around him.
Ant’s smile could light up any room, and his presence brought warmth and positivity to those fortunate enough to share in his journey. He was full of dreams and plans for the future—a future that held so much promise. We are devastated by the loss of his beautiful soul, he was taken far too soon, but we are grateful for the years and memories that we had with him, they will forever be cherished.
He is survived by his loving mother Valerie Sandoval; father Juan Ramirez; sister Jayla Ramirez; brother-in-law Julio Hernandez; niece Ah’nissa Hernandez; half brother Dante Castro; great grandfather Ponciano Gaytan; great grandfather Epifanio Sandoval Jr; great grandmother Mary Sandoval; nana Melissa Sandoval; partner Jesse Villanueva; aunt Bianca Gaytan; uncle Chris Murrieta; aunt Dezrae Gaytan; uncle Ryan Chavez; grandmother Gloria Gutierrez; partner Noel Gutierrez; uncle Robert Ramirez; aunt Leticia Ramirez; uncle Alex Ramirez; uncle Joe Ramirez; aunt Sonya Ramirez. He is also remembered by many cousins, friends and others who were touched by his kindness and spirit. Ant was predeceased by his grandfather Richard Gaytan; great grandmother Ernestine Gaytan and grandpa Nolberto Ramirez
Though your time with us was short, your joy, laughter and smile made a lasting impression on everyone you met, may we all be inspired to live with the same energy and passion he so effortlessly shared with the world.
