John Robert Harris, age 81, of Marble Falls, passed away peacefully at home Friday, June 24, 2005. He was born January 29, 1924 in Silverton, Texas. After serving in the Army during World War II, John earned his bachelors degree in business at UT, and then later earned a doctorate of law from UT in 1968. Shortly after graduation from law school, John served as Municipal Judge with the City of Austin Municipal Court. He continued practicing law in Austin and Marble Falls for 34 years. He is survived by his wife, Noeline Stumpf Harris; three children, Diane Garner of Tyler, Texas, John Harris of Seattle, Washington, and William Harris of Honolulu, Hawaii; and three grandchildren, Marshall Neidigh, Haley Harris and Phoebe Harris. Visitation will be at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27th. A graveside service celebrating Johns life will be held at Austin Memorial Park, Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a gathering of friends and family at his home in Marble Falls.
