John Michael “Mike” Hennessy was born March 15, 1955 to John Edward and Lillian Victoria (Welch) Hennessy and passed from this world on January 6, 2020.

He is survived by his mother, Billie; his sisters, Katie (Steve) Mangold and Mimi (Kevin) Asher; his brother, Jim (Lori); nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his forever loving wife, Rhonda and their fur babies, Abbey and Gunner who miss him terribly.

Mike was a friend of Bill W. for 32 years and lived a life of humility and service. When anyone reached out for help Mike was always willing to be available and made many lifelong friends that he maintained ties with. The world is a little better for Mike having been in it and we are all a little better for having had him in our lives.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas.

"The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and torment and death shall not touch them. In the sight of the unwise they seemed to die: and their departure taken for misery, and their leaving us, for utter destruction, but they are in Peace." Wisdom 3.

Rhonda, I am so sorry for this loss. Mike was one of the kindest, funniest, intelligent guys I ever knew. He was deeply blessed the day he met you. He will truly be deeply missed by so many friends.
