We never met John Jay Iffla but judging by his son Mike, he must have been an amazing Dad. Clearly, Mike's parents instilled caring; laughter; love and a solid moral compass in him growing up. Our hearts and prayers go out to Mike and the whole Iffla family during this period of sadness. It is our prayer that soon you will be able to remember all the happier times and great memories and they will bring healing smiles and laughter again. God's Blessings on the whole Iffla family.

I remember when I first met John. He introduced himself as John Iffla aka J.J. I told him he would have to be J.J.2 because I was the original J.J. We worked together several years at the Sheriff's Department and John was a gentle giant. Each time we met he would call me " Chamaco".

He always showed a genuine love for his family and I'm sure he'll be missed.

Rest in Heaven my friend

John was a gentle giant and respected and loved by many people. I live at Affinity where John and Merle have resided for a few years. I had the honor and privilege of playing poker with both of them every Friday night for several months. We had SO many laughs and good times. I will always remember John's favorite game - eight-card-no-peek, and he always chose his favorite number for the wild card - good ole number EIGHT!! I will miss John very much. Rest in peace my special friend.
