John Vincent Lawrence

August 20, 1953 - November 29, 2021

John Vincent Lawrence was reunited with his loving relatives and dear friends on November 29, 2021.

Jack, as he was known by most, was born on August 20, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, to John R. and Constance “Connie” Lawrence. Not long after, the family moved to Austin, Texas where he grew up and spent much of his life.

Jack graduated from Lanier High School in 1971 and went on to graduate from the Loyola School of Law New Orleans in 1990. Jack owned his own phone company and practiced law in Louisiana for many years before returning to Austin to be closer to family and friends. After returning to Austin, Jack loved and cared for his parents, John and Connie, and later his devoted brother, Marc, as they each left to be with the Lord. He would serve as a judge working for the Texas Workforce Commission where he met his life partner, Sandra “Sandi” Weir. Sandi and Jack made a life-long commitment to each other and decided on Forever. Jack would be by her side until she went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2019. Jack and Sandi shared many animals together and left behind a cherished cat named Gabby.

Meeting Jack in heaven are his parents, Connie and John Lawrence, brother, Marc Lawrence, grandparents, Louise and Hans Asper, life partner, Sandi Weir and other family and friends.

Left behind to cherish many fond memories are his niece Tamera Lawrence, nephew, Eric Lawrence and wife, Nichole and two cherished great nephews, Landon and Noah. Other family members grieving Jack’s passing are his loving cousins, Jeffrey Asper and Richard Asper, his sister-in-law, Vicki Lawrence as well as a host of great friends and neighbors.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at both St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and CVS Kidney Care Dialysis Services.
