John "Pat" Maguire

Pat was born in Austin to James Maguire and Pauline Josey Maguire on the 10th of August 1943. He grew up in and lived in Austin his entire life. Pat graduated from Austin High School and worked at the US Geological Survey up until retirement.

Pat is survived by his two children Kathleen “Kathy” Maguire Murray and Brian Patrick Maguire, five grandchildren, PFC Jonathan Roy Murray and Mia Murray, Layla, Ana and Brian Jr. Maguire, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his sisters, and his wife Sue Jokerst Maguire.

A visitation will be on Monday, the 26th of March, 2012 from six o’clock to eight o’clock in the evening at the Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas, 78752. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, the 27th of March, 2012 at eleven o’clock in the morning, with interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
