Fondly known as Grandaddy by his grandchildren, John was always known to greet them with a hug and smile and leave them with the words, "Okay honey be careful, I love you".
He was the warmest mix of strength and tenderness, offering support in any situation.
I doubt going forward, anyone who knew him will not see a baseball game, bowling league, smell the sizzle of bacon in the kitchen or see a pair of big hands and not think of "Grandaddy".

The world has lost a true angel. Uncle John was always there, willing to help anyone. He had a big heart for all of the family. He will be missed.
