

USAF CMSGT, Retired, John K. Bolin, 88 of Salado, Texas, formerly of Austin, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008, with Ron, Kaye, and Ruth at his bedside. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 year, Ruth Bolin, daughter Kaye Coleman and husband Ron, sister, Jo Todd of Odessa, Texas, grandchildren Don Childs and wife Yvonne; Chris Childs and wife Angie; Jason Childs and wife Jacqui; Courtney Novelli and husband Frank; Tami Coleman, great-grandchildren Emily, Caitlin, Joey, Zach, Jonah King, Trey & Madison. John was recognized as the RSVP Volunteer of the Year (2001) in Austin for Meals On Wheels and Mary Lee Thrift Center & VITA. He was a Deacon in the Baptist Church for 57 years. He was an avid sportsman; he loved fishing and golfing, including 4 Lifetime hole-in-ones. John also loved the Texas Longhorns. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Salado, TX Youth Mission Fund, or Meals On Wheels & More of Austin. A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2008 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Don Long, Officiating.
