

A native Texan and Austinite, Joe attended and graduated from Austin High School in 1963. He completed his degree in Commercial Art at Southwest Texas University in San Marcos in 1970. He later retired from the Department of Public Safety after 25 years of service.
Joe was a member of Austin Runners Club, US Canoeing Assn., State Employee Golf Assn., and the US Cycling Federation. He was an avid runner, golfer and all around sports enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Kincaid Jamison.
Joe is survived by mother, Anita Jamison; his daughter, Melanie Jamison; his sister, Cinda Jamison Smith and her husband, Sandy Smith; grandchildren, Anna Jamison-Smith and Parker Lee Jamison-Goff
Family will recieve friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 7:00 on Sunday, March 17, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013, in Cook-Walden Funeral Home at 6100 North Lamar. Private dedication will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville TX.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening, on Sunday, the 17th of March 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A funeral service will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 18th of March, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
