He was preceded in death by his parents. Juan is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Maria Luisa; his six loving children, Johnny De La Cruz Jr. and wife Maria, Maria del Rosario Gonzales and husband Gilbert, Gloria Arriaga and husband Adam, Maryann De La Cruz Perez, Jesse De La Cruz and wife Melinda, Joseph De La Cruz and wife Dora Lee. He was admired by 30 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
We will miss the joy and generosity in which he believed in that he brought to his family, relatives and friends. He was truly one of a kind. His wisdom and strength will live on in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as part of a father’s legacy.
