My husband and I are deeply saddened by the news of Mrs. Juanita Lopez. We will always remember her welcoming and caring personality. She welcomed us and then later my entire family into her own home, many of times. It didn't go unnoticed that she treated us like family. I will never forget the times she greeted my husband and I from across the room, waving to us, so she could give us a handshake and a tight hug each. Mrs. Juanita Lopez, I know you're in heaven, listening to Tejano music, watching over your family. You will be missed dearly. Our condolences go out to Mr Joe Lopez and the rest of her family.

I loved her smiles, laughter and her happy spirit. Our dear Mrs. Juanita was an extraordinary woman who taught, not only her immediate family, but me as well: Persistence, perseverance and hard work at whatever you do, do whatever it takes to accomplish it. No one knows or our private conversations in her home, but I will forever remember her kind and sturdy words throughout my everyday life.

I will continue to pray for God to console and give peace to all of the family's hearts.
