Judith (Judy) Sughrue Arrendale, 78 of Blanco, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 5, 2013, with her children at her bedside.
Born in San Antonio, Texas on July 27, 1935 she was the youngest of 3 girls. She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Myrtle Johnson, sisters Joyce Johnson and Shirley Courtney, husband Walter Sughrue and infant son James Allen Sughrue, and husband Billy Arrendale. She is survived by son Paul Sughrue and wife Patty, daughters Janice Nebgen and husband Lawrence, Lisa Cordell and husband Delbert, son Philip Sughrue and wife Debbie, 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy loved the Lord and instilled in her children this great Love. She had a gift for taking care of those who were ill in hopes of making their lives a bit brighter and easier. Her love for the water was known by most and she longed to be in it or near it whenever possible. Her family always came first and up until the end of her days she was still counseling and giving her best advice.
Although she wore many hats, the one thing she shall surely hear is "Well done, thy good and faithful Servant".
Her family would like to express their deepest heart felt thanks to Dr. Mark DeLeon and his staff, Hill Country Memorial Hospice for their great care along with the staff of Strickland Drugs for going beyond the call of duty in caring for our mother.
Visitation will be at Weed-Corley-Fish (N. Lamar location) from 6-8 pm Tuesday October 8, 2013 followed by a Graveside service on Wednesday October 9, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Capital Memorial Gardens located at 14501 IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas.
