Judith Barbara Chaplin

Judith Barbara Bachelor, only child of Floyd and Marie Bachelor, was born June 21, 1937, in Kansas City, Kansas. Judith graduated from Arkansas City High School. Judith married John Chaplin on April 8, 1956. After moving to Irving, Texas, in 1956, John and Judith raised 4 children. Judith was a loving stay-at-home wife and mother. John Chaplin worked full time in the Texas Army National Guard. In 1973, after raising a family and enjoying life in Irving, John was relocated to Camp Mabry, at which time the family moved to Austin.

Judith Barbara Chaplin is survived by her husband CW3 (Ret) John Chaplin, daughters Wendy McDonald and Cynthia Chaplin, son Jeffrey Chaplin, Son-In-Law David A. DeCaro, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Douglas Chaplin, her eldest son, passed away last September after a battle with cancer.

A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, July 16, 2016, beginning at 11:00 a.m. It will be held at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750. A catered reception will immediately follow the service.
