
Judy Margaret Wade, 88, of Austin, passed away on January 13, 2007 in Lindale, Texas. Judy, who grew up in Paris, Texas, and Alleene, Arkansas, lived in Austins Hyde Park for more than 50 years. Judy, known and loved by many in her family as Granny, was a longtime member of the University Methodist Church in Austin and the Ladies Circle. She has a special love for cats and gardening and was a member of the Austin Garden Club. Before her marriage to T.H. Wade of Little Rock, she worked at Woodsmen of the World hospital in San Antonio. She also worked at the Texas Rehabilitation Commission for 10 years from 1976 until she retired in 1987. Judy was married to T.H. for 23 years, and he preceded her in death in 1966. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Elray Willsie, of California, and sister, Fannie Elizabeth Collins of Duncan, Oklahoma. Judy is survived by her children, Susan Thomas and husband David of Tyler, Texas, and David Wade and wife Margaret of Rusk, Texas; and her grandchildren David D. Thomas and wife Shannon of Austin, Texas, and Julie Thomas of Garland, Texas. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Thursday and services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 18th, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Interment will be at Austin Memorial Park.
