

Julio Hector Calderón, 73, passed away on August 19, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Victoria Loera Calderón; daughters, Debra Elena Calderón, Sandra Anita Calderón, and Paula Sue Calderón; sons, Alfred René Calderón and Craig Anthony Calderón; grandchildren, Jesse James Pippin, Russell Allen Pippin and wife Eunice, Victoria Patricia Pippin, Holly Rae Vest; one great-grandchild, Pearl Marie Pippin; brother, Eulalio Calderón; two sisters, Maria Elena Ramirez and Lupe Mendoza. Julio graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in chemistry. He was a research chemist from MERADCOM, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He was a member of the American GI Form Organization and Chemical Society. He retired from the United States Postal Service in Austin, Texas in 2000. He participated in PTA and many extra curricular activities with his children. He was a member of the Lorton Lions Club in Lorton, Virginia. He was an Eagle Scout in Del Rio, Texas. He was a loving husband, father and brother and Grandfather. The family wishes to thank the Renal Group Dialysis Center in South Austin, the Lifeway Home nurses, the Cornerstone Rehab Center at St. Davids Hospital, especially Austin Hospice Christopher House for their Loving Care. Pallbearers will be George Sanchez, Ron Segura, Raul Ramirez, Fermin Calderón, Jr., Cruz Delgado, Jr., Michael Mendoza. Honorary Pallbearers are Alfred and Craig Calderón, Jesse and Russell Pippin. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
