In Loving Memory of June E. Brooks June Estelle Brooks, 83, passed away on October 24, 2005, in Odessa, Texas after a short illness. She was born May 8, 1922 in Shafter, Texas, second child of Viola and Henry Brooks. After graduating from UT at Austin in 1942 she made her permanent home in Austin, Texas. June had a long Civil Service career as a Hydrologist Engineer. Following her retirement from the government she opened and operated The Three Geese which became a favorite antique shop for many in Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry W. Brooks Sr., and Viola Simpson Brooks and her sister Aurora Brooks Brougher. June is survived by brother, Henry W. Brooks Jr.; sister-in-law Marge Brooks; nieces Beverly Brooks, Alexander Brougher Kelsey, Deborah Brougher; nephew Wade Brougher and many life long friends. Memorial services will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church of Austin, 1408 West 9th Street, Austin, Texas, on Friday, November 4, 2005 at 2:00 PM.
