

June Elaine Reynolds Crook died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in Austin, TX, after a long illness following a stroke in April 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burlin Robert and Wilce I. Reynolds. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, William B. Crook, her four children, Barry Crook of Aspen, CO, Cathy Kinsey of Austin, Carol Collett and Cindy Crook, both of Dallas, two grandsons, four granddaughters and one great-grandson. June was born in Dallas, TX on Sept. 14, 1929, attended elementary schools in Dallas and graduated from Adamson High in 1946. She attended TSCW and SMU before earning her Diploma as a Registered Nurse at Dallas Methodist Hospital in Sept. 1950. On Nov. 4, 1950 she married William B. Crook. They raised their four children in Oak Cliff, where they were members of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. June was active in the Methodist Hospital Guild, where she served as President. In 1975 June and Bill moved to Austin, and she continued to practice nursing until 1983. She and Bill enjoyed traveling together several times to Great Britain and the continent. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother and a proud great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar, Sunday, April 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Austin on Monday, April 20 at 10 a.m. Interment and Memorial Mass will be in Dallas at Calvary Hill Mausoleum on Wednesday, April 22 at 2 p.m.
