June K. Lindstrom passed away peacefully on the last day of June 2013 in Round Rock, Texas. She was born on January 4, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. Her family moved to Two Harbors where she met her husband, Arthur Lindstrom. She was a graduate of Two Harbors High School – Class of 1940.
Following in her parents' footprints, she went on to be a self-employed professional seamstress and tailor. June was an avid golfer and active member of the Presbyterian Church (now the United Church). She enjoyed sailing on Lake Superior with friends and spending time with her family at their cabin on Marble Lake.
June and her husband retired early and moved to warmer climates. However, they always looked forward to their summer visits to Two Harbors, maintaining close friendships with many Two Harborites to this day.
In her retirement years, she kept busy crocheting beautiful baby blankets and always had a sewing project of some kind in the works.
June was preceded in death by her father, Albert Kasen; mother, Selma Kasen and brother, Maurice (Bud) Kasen.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Arthur (Art) Lindstrom and daughters and their spouses: Janet (Tom) Logan of Little Rock, AR, Barbara (Conley) Barthell of Leander, TX and Karen (Michael) Alberts of Tierra Verde, FL; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date in Two Harbors. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the United Church of Two Harbors.
