June Marie Stanford Marroquin

June graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas and Mills College in Oakland, California. She served as a social worker in the Dallas Juvenile Court.

June married her husband Ben on April 9, 1950. They had three sons. June is preceded in death by her husband Ben. She is survived by sons, Ben (Trish), Jim (Nancy), and John and by her sisters Jerry Galindo, and Jean Kent. She is also survived by her grandchildren Rita, Jo Paul, James, Elizabeth, Dan, and Cliff as well as five great-grandchildren. June enjoyed being a mother and a grandmother and enjoyed cooking, and serving her family on holidays.

She was a member of the Colorado River Walkers, enjoyed tennis, and for many years could be found at local garage sales on Saturday mornings.

She was a member of Saint Theresa Catholic Church and participated in the Christ Child ministry of the Church as well as the Austin Settlement Club. When her boys were grown she enjoyed substitute teaching and traveling.

The service celebrating June's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Saint Theresa Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive, Austin Texas, 78731. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Christ Child Ministry at Saint Theresa Catholic Church.
