Justine Heiling McClendon

Justine Heiling McClendon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother passed away peacefully on October 20, 2018. She was born on February 6, 1926 in Pflugerville, Texas., the only child of H.W. "Bill" Heiling & Mathilde "Tillie" Galler Heiling.

Justine graduated from Austin High School where she was a member of the Color Guard. It was there that she met her lifelong love and husband, Carl McClendon who was an all-state football player. They were married in 1945 and lived in South Austin. Justine worked at the Texas Employment Commission until 1975.

Justine is survived by her son Travis McClendon and wife Kathy McClendon, son Matthew McClendon and wife Kristen McClendon, Daughter-in law Susan McClendon, grandson Matthew Kellas, grandson Marc McClendon and wife Michelle McClendon, grandson David McClendon and wife Andrea McClendon. She also had three great-grandchildren, Aidan McClendon, Carina McClendon and Ella McClendon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl McClendon, her oldest son Richard McClendon and her parents.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM with a Graveside Service to follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
