Kaylin Leigh Giddens Kaylin Leigh Giddens, age 8, of Austin, died on February 9, 2005. She was born on July 4, 1996 in Denver Colorado, to Kristin Calhoun and Freedom Giddens. She had many interests and hobbies, including reading, music, movies, dancing, soccer, art, singing in her children’s choir, anything pink and glittery, fairies, playing with her many friends, and Thai food with her family. Kaylin is survived by her mother, Kristin Leigh Calhoun; stepmother, Jennifer Rae Voorhees; father, Freedom James Giddens; maternal grandparents, Phyllis Scarborough and Robert Calhoun; aunt, Whitney Calhoun; paternal grandparents, Anne DeToy and Jon DeToy; uncle, Christopher Giddens; aunts, Sarah DeToy, and Jennifer DeToy; great grandparents, Homer Scarborough and Gertrude Calhoun; and by a host of other family and friends too numerous to name. The family will receive friends and relations from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. A special thanks to Mathews Elementary for all of their support and friendship.
