Keith Emerson, age 92, of Austin, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2009. He was born September 6, 1917 in Northgate, ND to Robert and Jean Emerson. Keith lived in Bowbells until retirement at age 60. He retired to Arizona for nearly 30 years and had lived in Austin the last year. He is survived by his wife, LaVonne Emerson; sons, Robert Emerson and wife Barbara and John Emerson and wife Tereasa; grandchildren, R. Bradley Emerson, Kimberley Whittlesey and husband David, Chris Emerson and wife Casey, and Sara Emerson; and great-granddaughters, Morgan, Claudia and Audrey Whittlesey. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Don and his sister, Alice. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at The Summit at Westlake Hills in Austin.
