
Kelan Patrick Troy Fairbrother Troy Fairbrother, age 51, died on July 31st as a result of a construction accident. The accident occurred in Brownsville, TX Troy was born on August 23rd 1955 to Thomas William and Yvonne Wendell Fairbrother. He was born, and spent a portion of his youth, in New Jersey but got to Texas as fast as he could. In 1968 his family moved from Delran, NJ to Austin. He attended Holy Cross Catholic High school and in 1973 graduated from Sidney Lanier High school in Austin. He also attended the University of Texas and received countless hours of instruction for his loved trade of welding. Troy was a certified welder with the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Local 482. And proud of it! In his youth, Troy enjoyed the sport of diving and received medals for his excellence. He was a gun enthusiast and marksman. He enjoyed the sport of skeet shooting and dove hunting. A devoted Harley Davidson rider, he and his older brother Tom went on many rides to locations throughout the US. If Troy did not have a welding torch in his hand or was sleeping, you could find him on the back of his motorcycle. He tried several different types of professions but decided that working with his hands was the thing for him. Troy was adept in turning inanimate materials and making them beautiful. Troys profession took him to all corners of Texas and the US. He took special pride in helping to build the Loop 360 bridge that spans Lake Austin. At the time of his death Troy was doing what he loved most; building. Troy is survived by his parents Thomas and Yvonne. Siblings Thomas Fairbrother JR, Michele Douglas of Scottsdale AZ (children Dana, Daniel and Debbie) , Paul & Diana Fairbrother of Austin (children Joanna, Nicholas and Colleen) and Roger & Rene Fairbrother of Cedar Park, TX. He is also survived by his Uncle and godfather Walter Joseph Fairbrother of Riverside, NJ. In addition, he is survived by cousins, aunts and countless friends throughout the Austin area. Memorial services will be held at 2pm, Sunday August 5th at Weed Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
