Kelton H. Spillar, age 87, of Austin, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. He was born in Thorndale, Texas on June 29, 1922 to Rubye V. and W.H.K. Spillar. Kelton was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Oleta R. Spillar; his mother and father; sister, Hope S. McCullough; and brother, Giles D. Spillar. He is survived by many loving relatives and friends. Kelton served with the U.S. Army before, during and after World War II. His last assignment was Post Commander of Camp Mabry with the Adjutant General's Department. He attained the rank of Colonel. Kelton was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Austin, Hill City Masonic Lodge #456, and the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Valley of Austin. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, North Lamar with Rev. Young Min Son officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:30 p.m. at Thorndale City Cemetery.
