Kenley Conrad Schroeder, (75) passed away at his home on Monday, February 22, 2021. He was the beloved husband to his wife of 37 years, Brenda Schroeder and was the dad to his dogs Buddy, Cooper, and Bouncer. He was born May 7, 1946 to Grace and Leonard Schroeder.
Kenley served his country as SGT (T) E5 in an Army artillery unit during the Vietnam War. He won the National Defense Service Medal, expert rifle designation, a good conduct medal and received an honorable discharge. He enjoyed spending time in the hill country and brush country of Texas as an avid outdoorsman and spent many hours hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking.
Services will be held at Weed-Corley Fish located at 3125 North Lamar in Austin, Texas on Saturday, March 6th at 10:00 a.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Austin Humane Society. Graveside services will not be held. The requested apparel for the services is Hawaiian-Style / colorful shirts and jeans.
