

Kenneth Matthew Alves, 30, passed from this earth May 19, 2013. He was born November 24, 1982 in Austin to Charlie and Deborah (Brown) Alves. He attended Del Valle schools and graduated from Del Valle High School in 2001 where he was a member of the football and basketball team. Kenny also earned his culinary arts degree from Le Cordon Bleu, where he expanded his love of cooking and preparing meals for his family and friends. In addition to preparing food for others Kenny enjoyed every sport from football to roman candle wars. Ever the prankster, he would lead the charge off of the diving board to splash others, taking time to make sure everyone he met had a great time. As an uncle he spent many hours having fun and as a father he was kind, loving and cared deeply for his son and daughter. Kenny loved Candace.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Danny Ray Brown; and grandfather, Walter A Brown Sr.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Candace (Anglin) Alves; two children, Kenneth and Kennedy; his parents; brothers, Steven, Jason, Randy, Brian, Matthew, Michael; sister, Lisa.
Visitation will be Friday, May 24 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral Service will be held at Austin First Church UPC at 4557 Highway 71 East, Garfield, Texas 78617 on Saturday, May 25 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery.
