

Kenneth is survived by his son, Kenneth Lynn Lightsey; brothers, Jerry and wife, Louise; and Donald of Austin and sister, Jo Larue Stannard of Buda; as well as many nieces and nephews; family and long time friends. Preceding him besides his parents were sisters, Mignon Wagner of Tow, Yvonne Duderstadt of Mountain Home, TX and Marie Graham of Clovis, NM.
After Kenneth graduated from McCallum High School in Austin, he served in the Texas National Guard retiring as a Major. He also retired from the Texas Land Office after 35 years. He had a love for outdoor sports such as hunting and fishing and also a passion for shuffle board and bowling. He loved country western music both playing his upright bass guitar dancing many miles. Kenneth played many years in the Jay Leutwyler Orchestra. His outgoing personality and zest for life and laughter for a good story will be remembered by all that shared his life even after Parkinson’s Disease debilitated him.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 10:00 am at Weed-Corley-Fish South Congress and burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
