He is survived by his sister, Lorna M. Steiner of IL; Uncle to Charles F. (Eileen) Roche III, Joan (Larry) Geigner, Kathie (Patrick) Lopes, Michael Roche, Linda (Ted) Janssen, M. Denise (Tom) Carellas, Catherine Roche, Deborah (Billy) Plahm, Barbara Roche, William (Linda) Roche and John Steiner.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles F. and Irene F. Roche Sr.; one brother, Charles F. Roche Jr. and a sister-in-law, Catherine A. Roche.
He had many friends and exceptional neighbors who loved him as well.
He was retired from Lucent Technologies/A T & T and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
“Uncle Bill” as the family called him was an avid bowler, poker player & golfer. He was a very charitable man and would help anyone who needed it. He will be missed dearly by all.
His wishes were to be cremated so a Mass will be held at St. Christina Church in Chicago, Ilinois on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
