Koleta was born December 2, 1933, in Vealmoor, TX but spent most of her life in Big Spring. She married Robert (Bob) Carlile on June 7, 1951. Koleta and Bob raised their four children in Big Spring and were active members of College Baptist Church. She worked many years for Big Spring ISD as an administrative assistant and then became a realtor for Home Realtors.
Later in life, Koleta and Bob moved to Austin where Koleta continued her service with the students and staff of Austin Independent School District as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church of Austin and at the time of her death, a member of First Baptist Church of Austin.
Koleta enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She took pride in her home and enjoyed decorating the inside and landscaping the outside. Koleta loved playing 42 and Canasta and was an avid reader, wrote short stories about various experiences as a child and about those who made an impact on her life, and enjoyed researching her family history and genealogy.
Surviving family include husband, Robert Carlile; children, Cathy and husband, Jim, and Bruce; grandchildren, Casey and wife, Katherine, Cara, Austin, Amanda, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Jack, Libby, and Emma; siblings, Ray Hoisager, Ariel Dean Hoisager, Myral Hoisager, Cheryl Garner, and Vada Hoisager.
She was preceded in death by her two sons Robert (Bobby) Carlile and Kelly Carlile, her parents, a special aunt who played an important role in her life, and one brother.
