Kristi and I were friends and teammates at Bee Cave Elementary and what a beautiful person she was in every way. I continually marveled at how she could remember all her past students and parents with such amazing details and how she made her students and friends and coworkers feel that what they had to offer was special. She listened, she cared, she understood, and she exuded happiness and provided such joy for so many of us. I wish her dear family peace and strength as they continue on without her. Lovingly, Annette Derrick

Kristi, you brought so much love and happiness into our family.
This photo of our fantastic family cruise to Norway in 2016 was just one of so many wonderful times together.
We love you and will miss you every day, but will go on living and smiling like we know you would want us to.
Rest in peace our dear Kristi.

Dearest Kristi, I have you in my heart, in my memories, in my prayers!!!! May God be with your precious family!!!! I enjoyed being your proud Dimensions teacher & loved every minute we shared!!!! You were just a teenager when I left La Porte...You knew I was going through a difficult time and sent me the most precious verse from the Bible to help me through it!!!! I have that verse framed in our home..."For He will command His angels concerning you...To guard you in all your ways." Psalm 91:11 That promise has helped me through many tough but much needed learning experiences. God was using you even back then to share His blessings!!!! I know He will continue to use you as one of His brightest, most beautiful angels!!!! I love you and thank-you for being such a blessing in my life and sooo many others!!!! Love You and Your Family Always!!!! Ms. El, Elwanda Whilley White

It was an honor to work with Kristi as the principal of Langford Elementary School. She was a loving and caring teacher who always put the needs of her students first. My thoughts and prayers are with the Lee and Nordstrom Family as you work through your grief. May you find some peace knowing that she is free of pain and is resting comfortably with our Lord.

"Thank you for being exactly who you are...
For taking the good with the bad
For walking with me hand in hand
Knowing that nothing is better
Than having each other.

Thank you for being
My best friend and
The LOVE of my LIFE."

You are and always will be a part of me. You are half of me in so many ways - half of my childhood, half of my school memories and the other half of my soul. You truly are the one great and true love of my life and always will be. There is no replacement for you. My memories are entwined with you. My sister and my best friend. I'll love you eternally.

I love you, Kristi.

Your Big Sis,

Although my daughter Samantha was never in Kristi’s class, she was good friends with Heidi when we lived in TX. I will never forget Kristi’s generosity, sense of humor and always friendly smile. She was such a lovely human being, inside and out. I remember spending the day with her, my daughter and Heidi at her parents’ pool where she invited us to swim. She made me laugh all day! My heart breaks for her family, community and BCE. You all will be in my heart and present in my thoughts!

Nothing more to say but I love you and miss you. I’ll never have a friend like you ever again and that’s ok. Nothing like the original...

To her family and loved ones,
I didn't know Kristi well in Highschool. I was only in her presence from time to time through shared activities. I'm certain you already know that she was an amazing person! You hear of people that can walk in a room and light it up just with their presence....that was her!
The passing of your loved one is not and will not be easy, to say the least. But please take solitude that although you may have lost a piece of you, Heaven has gained one of the sweetest souls I have ever known. ❤️

I had the pleasure of teaching with Kristi 2 years at Langford. We had so much fun pairing her 5th graders with my kindergarteners as Reading Buddies in all kind of activities!! Kristi was such a caring and dedicated teacher and so much fun to work with!! She was a wonderful coworker and friend!! Those were my two best years at Langford because of Kristi!! Even though she's gone, her caring spirit and love of life still live on in the hearts of those she's touched !! My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to all of your family. May you feel the Lord's comfort and love!!
