Lambert "Ray" Sabrsula

Ray was born in Luling, Texas on July 20, 1953 to Ava Nell Higginbothan and Lambert Zefrin Sabrsula. Ray attended Prairie Lea High School. He moved to Austin shortly after that. He had four children with his first marriage, one child in his second marriage and spent the last twelve years of his life with his wife Linda Lee Sabrsula.

He was self-employed for over 40 years as a highly skilled Master Rock Mason and installed ornamental iron fencing. He did beautiful work all over Austin and the surrounding areas.

Ray was an avid fisherman. In his early years, he fished in many Bass Club Tournaments and also spent a lot of time fishing and camping at Texas beaches with family and friends. He also loved to play pool. Many hours were spent playing in pool tournaments around Texas. In his later years, he enjoyed a good game of poker with friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Virginia Nell Bowers.

Ray is survived by his wife, Linda Lee Sabrsula; five children, Michael Ray Sabrsula, Lambert Earl Sabrsula, Lisa Nell Sabrsula, Timothy Allen Sabrsula, Tristan Zefrin Sabrsula; two step-children, Travis John Mele, Michelle Diane Mele; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue.
