

Larry Quinton Christianson went home to be with his Savior on December 20, 2023, in Austin, TX, at the age of 79. Born on December 26, 1943, in Holdrege, Nebraska, he was the beloved son of Ruby and Quinton Christianson, both of whom preceded him in death. Larry’s grandparents, Rev Ernest and Agnes (Carlson) Johnson, and Emil and Sigrid (Lind) Christianson also preceded him in the journey to heaven.
Larry, a 1963 graduate of Austin High School dedicated his professional life to the American National Bank’s Trust Department and later served the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
In retirement, Larry enjoyed working alongside his dad on the family farm in Elroy. He passionately supported the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers and the University of Texas Longhorns. A loyal member of Austin Oaks Church, formerly known as the First Evangelical Free Church, Larry lived a life anchored in faith.
He is survived by his brothers Darrell Christianson of Georgetown, Texas, James Christianson of Austin, Texas, and sister Anita Christianson Deshields (Russell) of Charlotte, North Carolina. Larry also leaves behind his beloved dog, Abby, four nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and cherished friends.
The family wishes to thank Larry’s caregiver, Cynthia Paniagua, and the staff at Seton Hospital for their exceptional kindness.
A celebration of Larry’s life will take place on Thursday, December 28th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Hall of Austin Oaks Church (formerly First Evangelical Free Church), 4220 Monterey Oaks Blvd, Austin, Texas 78749. The ceremony will be preceded by a visitation at the church at 12 Noon.
