Laura Marie Gross, 76, of Hugo Minnesota, entered her eternal rest surrounded in the love and warmth of her family on June 14, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, as well as the friendliest person you would have ever met.
Born on April 11, 1950, in the city of Collingswood, NJ. Laura joined RCA Information Systems in New Jersey before marrying Charles Gross in 1975 and relocating to Pennsylvania. Throughout her career, Laura served as a secretary at RCA, a librarian at Perkiomen Valley High School, and later worked in the services department at Irondale High School in Minnesota.
Laura is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Charles Gross; her children, Michael Gross (Sarah), Scott Gross (Missy), and Vicki Greene (Adam); and her beloved grandchildren, Evyn Gross, Harlow Gross, Charli Gross, Sydney Gross, Ayden Greene, Owen Greene, and Cullen Greene. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Green; her mother, Laura Green (Thomas); her sister, Patricia Weindorfer (Nick); her sister, Joan Carey; her brother, John Green; and her brother, Joseph “Joey” Green.
Laura was one of the friendliest people you could ever meet and possessed a truly caring heart. She had a remarkable ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, and no one was ever considered a stranger in her eyes. Laura genuinely cared about people and brought warmth, laughter, and energy to every gathering she attended. She had a way of making everyone feel like family. Whether you had known her for years or had just met her, she welcomed you with a warm smile, genuine interest, and an open heart. Her laughter was contagious, her stories unforgettable, and her presence could light up any room.
She loved cooking, dancing, spending time on the water, and, most importantly, being surrounded by family. Family was the center of Laura’s world. She celebrated every milestone, never missed an opportunity to bring people together, and found her greatest happiness in seeing those she loved gathered around the table sharing food, stories, and laughter.
Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren and being an active part of their lives. Being “Grandma” was one of Laura’s greatest joys, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. Whether attending events, celebrating accomplishments, or simply spending time together, she cherished every opportunity to be involved in their lives.
Her passion for cooking extended beyond her own kitchen, as she loved teaching others how to cook. Laura believed that some of life's best moments happened in the kitchen, surrounded by family and friends. She found joy in sharing recipes, traditions, and the simple pleasure of creating something special for the people she loved.
Laura was also a devoted fan of the Rolling Stones. Whenever one of her favorite songs came on, she could not resist getting up to dance. Music brought her happiness, and her enthusiasm often inspired others to join her on the dance floor.
She especially looked forward to hosting her annual Super Bowl party, a tradition cherished by family and friends. For Laura, it was never just about the game. It was about bringing people together, sharing food, laughter, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Each year, she welcomed everyone into her home and spent the evening visiting, laughing, and sharing stories until the very last guest had left.
Laura was truly a special soul who touched the lives of so many. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Not a day will pass without thoughts and memories of her bringing both smiles and tears to those she loved.
Although our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the countless memories, lessons, recipes, dances, conversations, and unconditional love she gave us. Her legacy lives on through her family, the friendships she cherished, and the many lives she touched along the way.
We find comfort in knowing that Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. We can only hope they are ready for her laughter, her dancing, and the joy she brought wherever she went.
