A graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology, Larry earned his degree in computer science and went on to build a career in information technology. From his early days at IBM in Boca Raton to his tenure as Chief Information Security Officer at the Texas Division of Emergency Management, Larry approached his work with intelligence and dedication.
Outside of work, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures—boating, fishing, football, his whiskey group, many community and interest groups, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Being outdoors was Larry's happy place.
Larry is survived by his children, Kevin, Kaitlin, Sean, Caroline, and Liam Moore, and by his sisters, Sharon Balcells and Patricia King.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Weed Corley Fish Parkcrest, located at 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, Texas, 78731. The service is scheduled for January 22, 2026, starting at 11:00 am.
